Transformation Worship Center - "Transforming Brokenness into Wholeness"
Our Genesis::
In early 2001, God gave Minister Saunders the assignment to Pastor a flock that He would send her.  Thus in October 2005, her pastor, Dr. Dwight Riddick, pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church, commissioned her to start the great work in which God had given her the vision to carry forward.  After months of praying and meditating on Romans 12:2, God instructed her to name the church, Transformation Worship Center (TWC) whose mission is to “transform brokenness into wholeness through the impartation and application of God’s Word; thus, birthing divine healing in the people of God.”
On February 5, 2006, TWC held its first worship service at McIntosh Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia with four members Minister Maria Saunders, Brother Charlie Saunders (deceased), Minister Jacquelyn Parham, and Sister Anjanette Sheppard and numerous visitors.  Pastor Saunders delivered an encouraging message from Jeremiah 1:4-11, entitled “What Do You See?”
In preparation of relocating to a new facility, Pastor Saunders led the Body of Transformation on a Jericho March for six consecutive Sundays.  TWC held its last service in the school on September 24, 2006.  Upon departing the school (the seventh Sunday), TWC ended the Jericho March within the walls of the new place of worship, 12917T Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, Virginia.  Reflecting on the TWC’s first sermon “What Do You See,” everyone praised God for what God had done (being mindful that the move to the new worship facility took a little less than 9 months to come to fruition).  All the promises of God are yes and amen to the glory of God.  For, God continues to add to the flock.
God has proved himself to be a loving and kind God.  We give God all praise and glory for the great and mighty works done within the Body of Transformation Worship Center.  We thank God for all His blessings.  We thank Him for how He continuously blesses us every step of the way.  As we continue to see with the eyes of God and rest in Jesus, we believe His word, “Eyes have not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it entered into the hearts of man the things for which God has in store for them who love Him.”
